Haven't been here in 30-35 years. The quality of the food and service have not changed. Absolutely wonderful.

The half chicken we ordered was really good, crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. Enjoyed the salmon dish a lot as well, but I thought the baked ziti and tiramisu tasted like dishes I could get anywhere else. Portion size is pretty big. Waiters were very friendly.

Food was excellent but our waiter was MIA most of the time not the usual service from Rosebud

I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Italian sausage with sweet peppers! It was outstanding 👏

Staff is super welcoming and accommodating. Never had a bad experience here. This last visit, our waiter (forgot his name but we sat in the corner window booth at the entrance) was funny and charasmatic. Our busboy Ernesto was very attentive and detail oriented. World class service.

First time to Chicago and this restaurant was my first experience of sit down eating in Chicago and the experience was exceptional. Great atmosphere. The food was more than plentiful and our table enjoyed all of their meals. Staff were professional and very authentic. The neighborhood was very nice as well.

The food was some of the best Italian I've ever had! Edgar was a very attentive server. Every employee greeted us on entering the restaurant. Water and bus people were efficient and friendly! Loved the whole vibe!

In town to see a concert and wanted a restaurant near my friends hotel. I have never been to this location but Rosebud has always been my go to. As it turns out this location is very nice and I'll need to visit again. My wife's fish was excellent and my spaghetti and meatballs was very good. Our friends enjoyed theirs as well. The atmosphere is of an old school Italian restaurant focused on service and quality. This is a must visit for all and might be my favorite location.

Truly an amazing experience. First off, extremely accommodating. My friends flight was delayed and I got stuck in pretty bizarre Chicago traffic and they accommodated us with our table still 2 hours after our original reservation. The bartender (I wish I got her name) was such a genuine good vibe, she had me laughing the moment I walked in. Alfredo was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing and full of personality. I hope when we come back, we have him. The valet man was an absolute gem too. Asked if I could leave my car there for a couple hours and instead, he moved it into a legal parking spot for me. This was seriously an above and beyond experience and we will definitely be back in the future!

Very good, old school Italian restaurant. The calamari made a great starter. The meatballs and spaghetti was large enough to feed 3 or 4 people. The pasta was al denté and the meatballs were full of flavor. The orecchiette sausage & broccolini was fantastic with flavorful Italian sausage, a light garlic & olive oil sauce, and light round pasta. The Chianti was refreshing with the meal. The bar is a perfect spot to wait for friends to join. An excellent, lively neighborhood a short drive from Michigan Avenue.

The lobster GOT is delicious. Very rich taste and flavor. Very good drinks and the service is top notch.

We went there last week for a late lunch. Parking was a breeze. We got seated immediately. Sara, our server was amazing. We never had to ask for anything, she was always a step ahead.

I haven’t been here in a while but it’s always been a solid pick. We visited before a graduation ceremony and everyone loved the food, wine, and ambiance. In addition to “real-deal” Italian dishes, the service stands out here. The staff works like a team to cover every base and closely anticipated our table’s needs without hovering.Their table red wine is pretty good. Just a bit sweet, not too “jammy,” and it’s easy to drink but rewards deeper thought on it. Other than that, they have a vast selection of different wines by the bottle and glass, and I really enjoyed their Chianti Riserva.I’ve usually gotten pasta when visiting (and it’s amazing every time), but this time I had the chicken Milanese (chicken parm with tomatoes and arugula salad) and it was incredible. The texture, flavor, presentation and portions were all clearly the result of a kitchen that takes pride in the food.We love discovering new places, but Rosebud has been a staple special-occasion pick for us through the years. I’d come back to try the Francese next time.

Delicious food, great service in a supper club type setting. Entrees are huge. We had Chivken Parmesan and Brick Chicken, plus Greek salad. Everything was very tasty. Nice selection of wines.

this restaurant is my husband favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago. He was super excited when it reopened you walk in here. They treat you like family. Food is excellent. The service is outstanding. The owners are great, magnificent nothing but good words to say about this location.

So glad that Rosebud on Taylor reopened. It is truly my favorite restaurant in the city. Great food and service with excellent old school atmosphere. Can't rate it any higher in my opinion.

The absolute best of the old school Italian restaurants in Chicago! My family ate here on Christmas Day and I think every single person that worked there stopped to wish us a Merry Christmas, they seemed genuinely happy that we were there. The servings are indeed huge, be prepared to take home leftovers. But the food is fresh and delicious. We all loved our meals including the HUGE slice of Christmas cake. A definite must-visit if you want a classic Chicago Italian restaurant experience with the kindest service in town.

Very happy they opened on Taylor Street again. I ordered something special; the Brick Chicken is a great dish. Seasoned, split and de-boned, then cooked flat in the oven. The skin is delicious and the meat is moist and tender. I heard from Pat Brickhouse this was one of Jack's favorites. I highly recommend it.

Eddie was all smiles and incredibly attentive throughout the evening. He made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Truly outstanding service and atmosphere. A must-visit spot in Chicago!
